Double stick tape and zip ties are what held it in, actually. I guess the stuff provided wasn't able to handle my crazy driving style? Beats me..but next time I'll bolt these suckers on somewhere. :P

Yep, my WK is indeed Deep Beryl Green. I'm located in Los Angeles though, so unless we over-night the grilles to each other, we would each be stuck driving around grille-less for about 4-5 days. Otherwise, I don't see any issue with it as I could strip the Plasti-Dip off mine, wash it, wax it, send it out and just re-dip the chrome one Let me know!

Re: WildVisionsWK - Build Thread

Here are a few more photos. No new mods yet, it's been a bit slow at the moment. Hoping to get my HID fogs up and running again sometime soon though.

All of these were shot today. I LOVE Cali weather, the variety we can have in one day is awesome. All of these were shot with my iPhone. I swear, I will do some proper dSLR shots soon when I can find the time for it.

It's been a LOOOONG time since I've poked my head in here. I still have the WK, although its been extremely problematic so the mods have been halted and instead been replaced with costly repairs. I had to replace the ECU with a rebuilt one in August, about a month after that my battery, which was less than a year old, gave out for unknown reasons, and now my ECU is going yet again. My gauge cluster is also on the fritz, with the needles on the RPM and speedometer gauges spinning erratically or freezing at the 'zero' point. Various indicator lights flash as well. It seems that the more the ECU spazzes, the more the Jeep misfires while driving, too. Unfortunately, this Jeep has been quite the headache as far as electrical problems go. Has anyone else experienced these sorts of issues?

I did, however, add some nice new Falken Wildpeak A/T tires since my original tires were so bald that they were no longer useful or safe. My Jeep also went from roughly 143,400 miles the day I bought it to over 162,000 miles after just one year of ownership. Mechanically it's still running strong, but electrically it definitely has issues.

I also took apart my driver's side door after a frustrating experience with my door handle. I lack keyless entry, so the only way into my Jeep is to open the driver's side door and then unlock all other doors using the button on the door panel. Since the handle broke, it took clever work with a coat hanger to reach through the door and unlock it. Once I got it home I parked it with the window cracked open so I could easily access it the next morning. 30 minutes and $0 later, I had a working door again! Yay for girls who know how to DIY their repairs.

The door repair:

The pesky rod that caused all this drama

Back in place

All done!

My old baldies!

My new, more aggressive tires. Much better! Also, my rims need a washing.

I love how your plasti-dip has held up! I painted mine a while back and it's slowly fading from right to left! How many coats did you do? Btw I'm in Los Angeles too! Nice to know we got JG people out here too!
