Diablo predator for 2010 jeep srt8 question?

My buddy bought a diablo for his 2010 srt8 jeep but was reading that the HP gains are smaller for 2010 as opposed to the 06-09's because the 2010 was tuned different from the factory. Has anybody else heard this or guys with the 2010's noticed this. He has the 4in. Bwoody, corsa exhaust, 180tstat, and might buy headers. He was thinking of taking it back and doing a dyno tune. Any input would be help. Thanks

a CMR tune done on the dyno would be optimum

Re: Diablo predator for 2010 jeep srt8 question?

I have asked this question and have learned from others, that the performance gains have yet to be measured at a track between stock (no tune) and any aftermarket tunes (CMR or canned). For those that have used a CMR or Canned tune, they have found harder/crisper shifts, but didn't really feel any major performance gains.
Because of this, I have come to the assumption, all canned and CMR tunes are taken from earlier year models and adjusted from there, which hasn't proven to be very effective.

In light of that, I do know some folks are in the process of working with tuners on 2010 CMR tunes, but none have yet to be proven on a track.

Hope this helps, as I am in the same boat. Brand new predator sitting in my drawer, waiting for the tunes to be done, and waiting to get a stock run in on a track for a baseline to measure against any modifications done after that.

Good luck!

Re: Diablo predator for 2010 jeep srt8 question?

Though not SRT related, number one reason why I bought the predator was to disable the MDS in my 5.7. I really really sometimes want to kick myself for not getting the srt8 when I got my limited.

Bigest pro on having it is for aftermarket upgrades that allow you to tune for those upgrades. I guess you could get it dyno tuned though.

edit: when I mean aftermarket that means larger upgrades like headers, cams, supercharger/turbo ect...
