Re: Trinity Coming Today!

You cannot go wrong with Johan, his customer service is out of the world ANNNND you get revisions when you feel your toon needs it. Just data log with that bad boy trinity, send him the log file and he will modify the toon so you are even FASTER!!! The jeep will now shift in autostick out of first right around 39-41 mph and when it hits second...... LIFT OFF!!! Check out the vids on my YouTube channel IR8 GRAND SRT8. I promise it'll help pass the time of you waiting! LMAO!

OK So after about 2 hours of fighting with Windows 7 (which I despise) I finally got the Trinity up running and installed on the SRT... Just took her for a few laps and I can definitely say it woke her up!!!

Once I get some time I will talk to Johan and rock and roll!!!

About the autostick thing? Are you saying manually place it into first and just go without shifting and it will automatically put it into 2nd?

I also notice the truck won't rev over 4000 RPMs when in park? Not that I should be revving anyway, but is there a way to override that or it is what it is?

Not a whole heck of a lot... I have CAI that was on the Jeep when I purchased but I'm replacing with Arringtons CAI... I am still deciding on exhaust but am leaning heavily so far on Borla's catback system.

Aside from that probably just some minor tweaks to the truck cosmetically... I'm not much of a racer, had a Marauder that was quick with some work, but this thing is downright fast... That said, it's more than enough for me for the most part...

Any thoughts on catbacks?

The SRT's have no-load rev limiters, It keeps us noise junkies from blowing our engines. DO NOT OVERRIDE!

In your year yours may not shift up on its own in autostick, you can however
have it updated at the dealer with starscan to make it upshift automatically. Just make sure you put the stock tune back in before taking it in, if you are under warranty DO NOT let them know you have a tune.

As far as exhaust goes, they are way expensive and you get virtually no gains other than auditory. I would find an exhaust shop and have them fab in an X-pipe of 3" material in place of the factory suitcase muffler (do not delete the resonators as you will then get intolerable exhaust drone). It should cost no more than $150 and sounds like a pissed off bear with its nuts caught in a trap. Then take your time and search this forum and other resources for a used exhaust system. Don't waste your money now when later on down the road you will hear from being at meet and greats many other exhaust systems and you can then make up your mind what you want. New exhaust's that I would consider are between $1200 and $1600. Not cheap!

Yeah.. well I was asking because I have a Borla S Exhaust system for sale as of now if you were interested in it at all? I would definitely upgrade exhaust and do some visual mods like... Lowering springs, get a pair of the amber reflector covers... you'll notice them on my jeep if you look at the pics... also a shorty antenna. Just some food for thought. Hope you enjoy the trinity though..

You are selling the Borla-S with powder coated tips correct? This would be an excellent wat to save money on an $1,100 dollar exhaust!
