installed mine last night, didnt take too long, but i cant lie, i did scratch my head a few times, wondering how the heat shield was supposed to fit. regardless, after installation, i cant say i felt a difference in normal driving, but this morning was a different story. blame it on the cool weather we're having here in NY, but at WOT there is a drastic difference between this intake and the bwoody. i drove it for about 15 minutes, then popped the hood, carbon fiber tube is still cool, when the bwoody would be really warm. also, the hood scoop dumps air directly over the filter, which makes a fully functional hood (call it ram air if you would like, i dont care, i just know it works)
enjoy the pics
on a side note, i installed the mass air sensor in the first opening, because the second one was too tight, but i see some people installed it in the second one. i was unable to get the stock harness to reach, so i had to keep the extension from the bwoody installed, but i need to sell it with the bwoody, or else the next person will have a big problem. any ideas?
also, i noticed that many people installed an air filter on the vacuum port on the drivers side of the engine, which right now (in my case) has a hose running to the second opening in the intake. for the people that have the filter, what are you installing in the intake? another filter? it isnt that obvious from your pictures, which is the reason why im asking
ok thats all for now, i hope i didnt hijack the thread
ps, i also used the bwoody rubber elbow because it was longer than the one that came with the kit. they should really consider extending theirs, i was having trouble aligning everything together with the shorter elbow
