Vin haven't had any issue's at all with my cutouts, no leaks at all! I'm real anal about exhaust leaks bro! If they leaked they wouldn't be on there! Get headers with High flow cats! You need to keep back pressure in the Hemi's! It will still be loud as hell! Ill take a sound clip of mine tom. Im running Kooks with high flow cats..

Re: question about headers what do u think

my cutouts dont leak either, the DMH's seal tight, the other day mine didnt open fully, but i cleaned it with brake clean (per DMH's instructions) and its fine now. i run mine open all the time, i notice no power problems. my jeep is fine high and low

Re: question about headers what do u think

yeah right now im driving with no programmer and my jeep feels fine, and when i had my Superchips in it was speedy! i really dont feel a difference running a 1/4 with it open or closed. just remember to...you really dont have a hemi in these vehicles. so the old hemis need back pressure thing, might not really apply...it could be a tune or other issue?

Re: question about headers what do u think

Sure the back pressure would apply bro.. If you were local id let you drive it and feel for yourself. Im gonna take the tune out tom and see if it changes..

Re: question about headers what do u think

worth a shot, what size tires do you have? i see you have 22s, changing tire size messes with you gearing, wich could knock out low end. but there could just be a difference with the 5.7 v the 6.1

Actually his signature says they are "on order". And if you do the "plus sizing" correctly, you will achieve the same overall height but just have the weight difference to deal.

As for headers, I would look for the hi-flow cat route...but that is just me.

Also, as I'm sure you know, those will not pass inspection, anyplace that requires a plug-in (which NYS does). Then again, neither do Kooks. The only headers that anybody has run without an SES, with all the O2s working, are the Stainless Works 1 3/4, and even those are iffy. Only 3 of us are running them without codes.
Hey Mike, I've been lucky so far also. Stainless Works 1 7/8" with high flow cats no codes yet. But like you said one of the lucky few.

Tom.

The question is, what do we have that the others don't?
