Small makeover on the wife's Jeep SRT8, need your input!!

Thinking of doing a small makeover for the wife's daily driver. Gonna get some paint refreshed, re-powdercoat the wheels, BC Racing coilovers fromZygote. But I also would like to upgrade the power as well, and do it the RIGHT WAY. However, I'm on a budget, so I need some input from all you engine guys because it's been awhile since I've dug into this side of things. I'm ONLY INTERESTED in a good Head/Cam setup, and here's what my list consists of so far:
>Heads of choice & cam of choice (still researching)
>pushrods of choice (still researching)
>ported throttle body (maybe)
>install & dynotune
>transmission refresh service
>upgraded valve body
The budget won't allow for a ported intake manifold, so that's out the window. Would a tranny flex plate be necessary? Are OEM spark plugs good enough, or do I need one step colder? Is there anything else I'm missing or should be thinking of??

You know I did all the R&D on the BC racing coils for two years right? Yea I'm sure you know.
So why come here and plug a NSV for coilovers especially for the Jeep?
Just sayin'
