Mongoose9400 is an unknown quantity at this point
I haven't read through all the thread. I ran JBA UCA on my bwoody lowered WK1 SRT. Handled and drove great, no inner tire wear issues either. I put around 20k miles on them over the course of a year-ish. I would recommend them.

Re: CUSTOM UPPER CONTROL ARMS 4 SRT8s

both the same!

tighten them and the rest of the suspension when it has a load on it. like resting on wheels. same with sways and such.
might want to remove the grease fittings after giving a good grease cause if it hits it will be on that fitting.

you MAY want to cut your bumpstops too to make some travel room in there. i used eibach with srt8 bilsteins and I cut mine in half. otherwise at rest there is not much travel room.

Re: CUSTOM UPPER CONTROL ARMS 4 SRT8s

sox i dont think it makes it any lower. but it does help a TON with the ball joint angle on a lowered wk. it also helps with one of the alignment paramenters to get it all back to stock. might be camber ???

without this arm when a very lowered wk1 is on the ground the arm is way UP and the ball joint looks stretched.

with the arm the ball joint i just right near the top of the tire. and has a ton more travel berfore it bottoms out.

I certainly did not state that lifted rigs need shorter control arms. Please re-read my statements. In fact, both require longer control arms. However, a properly designed control arm for a lifted application is different than one for a lowered application. There is a reason why JBA markets two different UCAs for lifted and lowered jeeps. If you can tell me why, big high five to ya!

I can't say that it handles better. If it does, it is only detectable by measurement. The ball joint angle is much closer to vertical, which may improve geometry in some way. For one thing, the improved angle will definitely wear less and prevent binding, which can be catastrophic. Another benefit is a much beefier ball joint that is not only lubeable (is that a word?), but is bolt in.

You cannot go lower than 1" lower than a stock SRT8. The shock tower will interfere. Any lower will require a custom drop-spindle.

No, you didn't say that at all. I was just stating what I've read as I'm still wondering why the JBA are shorter. As far as different parts for SRT and lifted, I would think the ball joint angle would be different.

then now i think whats the issue from the srt from my friend, he have install this jba upper arms.....and today we speak about this and he say my this are great shit, the upper arms touch the "engine room", you have write :

The shock tower will interfere. Any lower will require a custom drop-spindle

ti think we mean the same...rigth?

my friend have the H&R srt springs and this are 1.3 drop.

are this the problem and he need this custom spindle??

Re: CUSTOM UPPER CONTROL ARMS 4 SRT8s

H&R only make one set. they dont make any special SRT8.

so his 1.3 will get him just a touch lower than stock srt8.

tell him to check H&R

you need either bwoody srt8 or eibach srt8 springs.
