Re: K-Sport Coilovers are INSTALLED!

Great! Thanks for the shots!

I'm still struggling to see how these are any better than a set of BWoodys though?
I don't believe anyone will adjust their heights often, except maybe seasons, but even then, swapping out springs takes about the same time.

Due to them having a solid rear axle we can only get them so low. Sure we can get the front lower using coil overs, but no one likes a big raked looked?

Did you guys go with these by brand preference?

K sport is the only company that has attempted to make a system like this for us.
I just want to even out the back and stiffen it up some. I actually run on road courses.

Re: K-Sport Coilovers are INSTALLED!

If you go too low in the rear your exhaust will end up hitting the rear differential possibly unless there isn't much travel with the K-Sport

Re: K-Sport Coilovers are INSTALLED!

Well, there can't be less travel than any other kit due to the bump stops.
It is the bump stops after all that govern absolute full compression.

I am really liking the ride of these coils, but my girlfriend has said they they are much stiffer than the bwoody/bilstein combo was. I should get home from the beach tonight or tmrw then I wanna take it over to Ft Meade and adjust the suspension to lower it down and tighten it up some more. Very nice setup though.

I only was able to get the rears done. We couldn't get the lower front bolt out to remove the drivers front and I was leaving on vacation Friday morning. I am not out to slam my Jeep either. I want to even it out. Right now the rear is at 32". It is really firm and I have the shock almost all the way out(4 turns in). I drove through construction and never bottomed out(no bump stops) but it was pretty rough. I will be adjusting the rears to see if I can soften it a little.

Hopefully I will get the fronts on soon and give final impressions.
