Re: Stop Tech Brake pads review

Please somebody get with StopTech. We need those lines BADLY.

I need new rear pads (got 5k miles out of the Hawk Ceramics), so I guess I'll give these a shot. May swap the fronts again too to keep them balanced.

So far the dust isn't bad but I don't really care about that. I want to stop. I will be trying these out on the track soon.

By the way, how about a group buy for some pads?

Re: Stop Tech Brake pads review

I'll do it (SS B-Line fitting), I sent an e-mail to StopTech, we'll see if we can get something done here.

Re: Stop Tech Brake pads review

Pic update. This is after a tank and a half of gas, towing a 2000# plus boat and my usual driving. Dust is there but they still look the same as the rear. Here are some pics of the front left wheel. Still liking the stopping and no squeaking but I have never had any with any of the pads I have used. Will be running a road course on Saturday to really put them to the test.

I will be buying them again. Best pads I've had so far. Haven't heard anything about the lines.

Re: Stop Tech Brake pads review

I was unable to receive the SS lines they need to fit them to my rig. I am however working with ST and providing my rig for measurements and fitment r&d for their "Big Break Kit" in the coming months. A review, is to follow...

Re: Stop Tech Brake pads review

Couldn't they just buy a set of stock lines and make them the same length? It seems like it would be pretty simple IMO. I called them about a week ago asking what the progress was on the SS lines and the guy I spoke to knew nothing about them. Who is the contact point there? I think we should get a GB going for the SS lines, I'm pretty sure we could gather up 10-20 SRT guys who want SS lines.

Re: Stop Tech Brake pads review

Nah Phil, it was a fitment problem with the connections. I guess they are a proprietary piece that needs to be fabed by ST, and they didn't want me, nor did I want to wait the several hours it would take to fab, install, and test on my rig. It's a legit problem. It's just not as simple as measuring a line or two and bolting em on...

I will however be writing that review on the "Big Break Kit" soon so, stay tuned.
