Stop Tech Brake pads review

So I installed my new Stop Tech pads. Which for anyone that hasn't tried to do your brakes it takes about a 1/2 hr to do the fronts. The most time spent is taking the wheels on/off. Also to note, I have around 15k miles on my Jeep and I am on my 5th set of pads. Love me some road courses.

So I go to my usual bedding area, a little industrial park and the first thing I notice is that when doing my 60-10 mph stops, I am coming to a stop way before my stop sign. I do my 6 runs and every time I am stopping well before the stop sign. The Hawk HPS pads that I had on before, would get me to the stop sign. I never liked them or the feel and so far I am liking the Stop Tech pads and will continue to post on these pads.

I have only bedded them in. Will keep updating as I get more use out of them.

Not yet, but none of my brake pads have ever made any noise. I use my brakes the way they were designed to be used. Plus they get plenty of bedding on the road course. I'm not the guy to ask about squeaking brakes but I will let you know if they do squeak/squeal as I would not want to mislead anyone.

I will definitely update as I get more miles on them, but the stopping is positively better.

Hey CM,

Any update? You have got to have put some miles on em by now...
How are they holding up? Still better braking power?

I do have some miles on them and so far I would still highly recommend these pads. Dust is less than stock and the stopping is the best I have felt from an aftermarket pad. A++++

StopTech is on a distinguished road
Re: Stop Tech Brake pads review

These pads will produce some dust. In general any higher performing pad will have dust. No dust = less performance.

On a side note, we're looking for a Southern California located SRT-8 to complete Stainless steel line development for the stock calipers. Please contact us by email if you are interested, sales@stoptech.com
