Pacific Raceways upcoming Friday CCC

Hello Fellow NW'rs, the Mopar drag team will be at Pacific Raceways this coming Friday, the 11th. The gates open @ 4pm. This last Friday there was a very poor turnout for test and tune so if its like this again the action should move along quickly. If I lose early I will continue to test and tune the rest of the evening. Last week I got in 14 runs!

You held it all the way down the track I got the pics to prove it. He did catch up closely but didnt get past you! Your reaction time beat his RT to hell on that launch and that was the win. Did you get a revision?

Yessir. Johan looked at the logs I ran at the track and found some issues and fixed them. So we shall see what happens on Friday

I live 3 hrs from the track, you are about an hour farther than me. I can understand how hard it is to drive that far. I am considering trying out Mission up in Canada waiting on my EID to come so I can travel up there.

As for going, have had the rig about 45 days and this is my second track run. It all depends on the wife's schedule if she has duty at night or not. If she is home, I race, if she is not then I have to be daddy day care.

Re: Pacific Raceways upcoming Friday CCC

Well tonight was a real shitbomb! had 22 cars turn out to race for the Mopar Drag Team, we got one trial run after waiting 2.5 hrs because of malfunctioning tree lights. I ran a 12.781 @ 107.66 which isnt my fastest ET but it was my fastest trap considerably, then went up to stage for the first heat of the car club challenge and got called because the tree wasnt functioning properly again! Moe drove total of 6.5hrs for one run!

That's gotta be very frustrating! And one of the reasons I don't go to the track anymore. Both Pacific and Bremerton are poorly run and organized when it comes to Test and Tune days. They always seem to start late and end early, often for no obvious reasons. They have no set schedule for cars, motorcycles and Jr. Dragsters etc. You can be que'd in line and all of a sudden they'll run bikes for an hour. Then they'll run cars and before you know it out come the Jr.'s for another hour.

They don't announce or post any sort of schedule, so you'll be waiting and waiting and never know when you are going to run. And they are never in a hurry to keep things moving. Sometimes nothing will happen for 15 or 20 minutes, no activity anywhere, no one cleaning oil or debri off the track, everything is just stopped and yet they are too lazy or incompetant to make update announcements over the PA.

A couple of years back I was lucky enough to hit a lightly attended day at Bremerton, I made 22 runs in just over two hours, about one every 6 minutes. That kinda spoiled me, especially after later having some 1-4 run days which took all afternoon.

But that one run gave me my first 1 second run. (12.995 @101mph)

Yes very frustrating. I am used to San Diego where I got 25-30 runs in a night and get here and after two track days and 13hrs of driving, I have 9 runs under my belt.
