Don't know what size. I trimmed a little out of the stock opening until they fit snug.

Re: 12' Altitude Stereo Overhaul

One more question Why did you take signal after the factory amp and not before it I see in the install manual it says after oem amp then to lc7i then to aftermarket amp but why not just take the signals before the oem amp wouldn't you get a cleaner signl? I haven't started my install yet so i have no clue just trying to get some info.

Because the LOC requires a certain amount of power to read the signal and going pre amp I bet the signal isn't that good.

The LC7i is being taken out tomorrow because I am installing a Kenwood Excelon DNX890HD. Pure clean 4volt signal from a MOSFET Amp. Can't wait to hear this tomorrow. The Focals and stealth box are really going to be singing.

Crap I have the overland with the 8.4 I don't even think taking it out is an option most everything runs through it. I take it the lc7i didn't sound clean enough?

In systems with the factory Amp, the headunit puts out a digital signal over the CAN bus to the amplifier. You can't get a signal pre amp without an adapter like a PAC, but those have more issues than using a LOC has.

Re: 12' Altitude Stereo Overhaul

It is all in and holy jesus does it sound amazing. The timing adjustments on the Kenwood deck are amazing, the sound is so clear and crisp, and the stealthbox just pounds amazing. Love this set up.

Awesome man Post some finished pics. I'm still debating on installing my lc7i did yours not sound good? I'm wondering if It be worth upgrading to something like a bit 1 or bit 8 or arc's $800 one. Since I have the 8.4 and everything in the damn car is integrated into it I can't go with aftermarket HU so spending more on a good sound processor would be like buying an after market HU any suggestions on which one to get or should i just stick with the Audio control? I want one thats not to hard to install and tune. I'd like to be able to install all this stuff myself but I'm starting to think I might just have to spend more cash and have a shop do it. There's no way I'd be able to tune the system with a complicated processor.

The lc7i did what it was supposed to, but for me it was just a stepping stone until I was able to put in the headunit and get a nice clean signal path. And let me tell you, it's clean crisp and amazing. The headunits adjustments on timing, speaker size, 11 band equalizer were perfect.
