'15 GC Altitude - Adding Subwoofer

Just picked up a 2015 Altitude (9 speaker system) and want to throw my CS112 Alpine subwoofer into the trunk area. I also have a JX500 amplifier for it.

I'm the farthest thing from a car modification expert and usually take these kinds of jobs to an audio shop to have installed. However, before doing that I wanted to see if you all had any experience with a similar project? How difficult/long it took? Lots of re-wiring?

...any chance the dealership would do this for me?

Thanks in advance.

Re: '15 GC Altitude - Adding Subwoofer

No dealer, worst option. I do most of my mods myself. Put in all new door speakers and more. But when it can to wiring up my sub and amp I took it to a professional audio installer. A lot of work. Only charged me $200 for install and all wires.

Re: '15 GC Altitude - Adding Subwoofer

Get a JX 500 amp and use the high level inputs on it. It will signal sense and auto turn on. Stick with a good 8" like the CDT HD 8 so you won't have to modify anything.
