Ok, so none of the above locations are going to work. Bummer.

Anyways, some quick progress pics for the time being:

Re: 2012 WK2 Stereo Overhaul

I would suggest to put that sub volume control inside the glove compartment or inside the compartment below the radio. that way you can always keep it hiden. My Laredo has a small coins compartment instead of the Selec Terrain knob, maybe there if you have that space free.

That's where mine's going. If I sell the Jeep and remove the system I can just replace the rubber mat and you'll never know it was there.

Re: 2012 WK2 Stereo Overhaul

I got my Jeep back today. The only issue was the push button start and keyless entry no longer worked. The shop thought that when they disconnected the battery to install the amp it deprogrammed the push button feature.

I took it to a couple dealer ships, but then I did a google search and found this thread: http://jeepgarage.org/showthread.php?t=43256 which said there was a blue connector near the spare tire that was unplugged. It connects to the rear antenna. That was exactly my problem. A quick fix.

Re: 2012 WK2 Stereo Overhaul

The new system sounds great. It doesn't have the same boom that I am used to with a pair of 12's, but that was to be expected. I may add another 10 on the opposite side, down the road.

Here are some updated pics (sorry I haven't cleaned it recently):

Nice install, Sure wish that little covey hole where you put the amp was on my WK2. Its there, but it is full of electronics already.

Thanks, I got it fixed. Someone left the rear antenna wire unplugged. The connection is on the plastic surround for the spare tire, it's a little blue connector. I guess a few other people on this board had the same problem as well.

Thanks. One of the reasons I picked the PDX-V9 was so it could go under the rear passenger seat. The installer thought it would be better under the driver seat, and he was right. He just built a false floor for the cove, and drilled/installed the grommets holes in the cover for ventilation.

Re: 2012 WK2 Stereo Overhaul

Did they have to run you a new antenna for your nav? Where did they mount it?

Yes, and I don't love the location.

They mounted it on the passenger side above the front windshield. It's just a magnetic base, so I will probably relocate it to the rear behind the regular antenna. I had the same setup in my Montero, and the cable is long enough to run all the way back under the the interior trim, and just pops out at the top of the liftgate.

***Edit***

Sorry, that was bad info. My sirius antenna is the one that's located just above my windshield on the exterior. The nav antenna is on the dash on the passenger side near the windshield.
