After updating the push2tv modules firmware, connection from 3 test phones (nexus4, HTC one , and HTC one M8) has been seemless.

As for the rax jailbreak, accessing the video input can't be simpler from the controls menu. After making sure the aux input is selected for audio just select the 'cargo cam' button that's added to the controls page. All functions are unlocked while in motion as well.

Very cool. Thanks for the info and also for posting the video. My overland on order has the rear entertainment center. So I am considering using of the included hdmi input and a Chromecast combined with the rax jailbreak. Thanks for being the guinea pig for all of us.

Just remember, you will be controlling all the operations off your smartphone or tablet, with the output also being displayed on the OEM 8.4 screen. This does give you a great deal of options to choose from. Including improving your GPS signal via an external device such as Bad Elf for IOS or the Dual bluetooth GPS antenna's, just to name a few.

Best for now.
It works with the 5" Uconnect screen radio also:

Greetings,

Thanx for the info. When I read it, it did not mentioned that.

This gives the 5" a lot flexibility now.

Best for now.

So you need more than just the CRUX device to pull this off? I'm kinda confused. This thread started about the CRUX then we're talking about rax jailbreak and other things.

Crux is different from the rax system, my apologies for the confusion. The crux system shouldn't need anything extra

Yeah, but don't you have to mail crux your head unit? Or is that a different product?

No idea. That does not look to be the case based upon the website and installation instructions. I don't think any product like this requires sending your head unit in...

Ok thanks. There was another product that required a hardware mod by the vendor. I can't remember which one now.

We have 2 chromecast in the house right now! Love them...
Actually I think the Chromecast would work - I turn on hotspot on my phone --> have my tablet mounted in the back connect to the hotspot --> run a VNC server and viewer on the tablet and the phone. This allows me to view and control the tablet's home screens from the phone in the front seat. So basically, all devices connected are effectively on the same network.
