Finished the install today...Pretty straight forward. Removed the rear fascia to mount the camera and ran the wire through the back door and grommet into the cargo area. Hardest part was removing the inside trim on the back hatch. Really feels like you're going to break something. Head unit is really easy to remove. Ran everything up front and it works flawless. Camera is decent quality. Very clear in good lighting. Kind of blocky in pitch black situations with just the reverse lights. Overall I'm happy with the install. No dealer activation required, less then $400 and looks factory.

Re: 2014 ALTITUDE Back Up Camera Kit Mopar Item #82213884AB INSTALLED

How did you guys pop off the back of the fascia that came with the backup camera? Is it easy to do (something I could do before I took it in to the shop, or at the very least something I could just tell the shop to do and they'd figure it out)? Is it just a matter of getting the screws and washers out and then just popping it off?

I have all the parts for the mods I'm getting done next week in (SRT headlights + harness, 2014 backup camera, taillight bezels, grille inserts, black Gorilla lug nuts/wheel locks, SRT carbon fiber interior trim), and want to make sure my shop knows exactly what to do and how to do it

SRT carbon fiber trim? Can you post a link or pictures?

Thanks that helps a ton! I'll see if I can get some work done on it on Friday or Saturday before I drop the car off, or at least be able to explain it to the dudes at the shop I'm getting my work done at.

I bought the interior SRT carbon fiber trim pieces (to replace the weird wood in my '14 Altitude) here on JeepGarage from the marketplace (http://www.jeepgarage.org/f12/carbon...avy-84133.html). I don't have a picture of all of them, but here's a picture of part of the passenger dash piece I found on my phone (sorry, I'm at grad school 350 miles away from where everything but the backup camera is):

So prices to install this for the dealer are all over the place. I was quoted about $700+ from two different dealerships because it's supposed to be a 6.5 hour job and their rates are over $100 an hour.

It took my dealership about 5 hours to do the whole thing...

So it's definitely gonna be up there in price. I'm assuming your dealer charged at least $100 an hour?

Well my situation was a little different. They didn't find a SKU in the system for a JGC rear camera install. This would also be their first install with a 14'+ JGC. I was charged as a Dodge Ram rear camera install ($110) and that included the activation fee. Needless to say the service manager said he was taking a total loss but now they know what the proper charge will be.

I just watched Dustin Koenning's video about the install. I assume the kit comes already separated in two pieces correct?

How much of a pain was it to separate the the OEM fascia from the back non camera trim? From his video it seemed like it was a pain and didn't fit correctly back together with the new piece.
