Ive been looking for a way to input a waypoint that will show up on the NAV map screen while driving. My 2007 Trailblazer NAV had this feature and it was really convienent for navigating to a waypoint or knowing the eta to a previously inputed waypoint. Ive tried most of the NAV screens and I did find one that will let you save a position, but it doesnt show up on the map. Hoping someone out there knows how to accomplish this. The manual was not much help.

Also, today my SXM would not work at all. AM/FM works fine but the SXM would not and all the presets were gone. The SXM activation/setup screen shows the radio ID as UNKNOWN. Im wondering if this has something to do with the update to 13.15.4 going on in the background? I called Xm sirius and they were no help at all. Truck was sitting unused all weekend and hadnt noticed till today.

In the nav settings, go to map set-up. I believe there is a selection to show poi icons on the map.

I noticed when I updated my software the SXM spent quite a bit of time loading after restart. Maybe yours just didn't complete loading.

Thanks Jacko, I turned on all the POI's and tried saving a point, but nothing showing up on map. I guess I can go thru a few screens and search for the saved waypoint but it's much easier to see it on the map, touch it, and navigate to it. My prior NAV had that function and I figured that would be something standard on modern NAVs.

You were correct about the SXM, all my presets came back, but I was still in the old software version. I applied the new update last night via USB and my presets were still there after I did that, so it is working. I appreciate your reply !
