Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)

And it still says, "This product will be available May 18th. Please check back with us at that time - thank you!"
Exactly accurate as stated.

Call us back at 23:59:59 if it isn't there, as the leap second isn't due until 30 June.

BTW, did it say WHICH "May 18th"

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Map Update

I have a 2013 JGC Ltd. Been looking for map updates for well over a year. Went on a trip out west last year May 2014, had a number of insodents where the GPS In my jeep was obsolete. This is a damn shame. I'm also so sick of hearing of all these recalls (and getting them) yet the MFG. does not have the parts yet and wont for a long time. WHAT THE HELL !!! Should I drive the damn thing ?? I do love my jeep and I did get a good one, but honestly, I can't see myself buying a new one after reading all these posts. It will be new but NOT A JEEP. Chrysler scares the hell out of me. Not only on map updates but everything else. Looks like in a year or two its not going to be a new jeep for me. I have an old NUVI with lifetime updates that works extremely well. How the hell does that make sense with one of those stuck on my windshield just above the in dash GPS that's outdated.IT LOOKS STUPID !!!!! A $40 plus, plus, SUV with a G__ D__ Nuvi stuck to the windshield. GOOD BY JEEP !!!!!

So only US maps updated? Least that's evidence they are working on the rest...

You should try a stand alone, you'd like it. Accurate, up to date, free updates and less expensive than one update for the UConnect nav.
Actually when not using the built in nav i use free google maps on my smartphone with a proclip dash mount so i know all about the dark side- lol. Google maps are free, updated DAILY, and have the 'realest' real time traffic for my area.

But luckily i'll be buying my official uconnect update now that it's available so life is good. I really enjoy the bigger screen and integrated nature of it even though it is inferior.

I am wondering what is the software usb? Is this going to change the function and features of our head units?
The unit may require the most recent firmware to use the updated maps. It was that way when I updated the maps for my 730N, too...although I was already on the latest thanks to SOX.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Map Update

Just ordered the update, no problems (except they charged me the shipping, I'll deal with that tomorrow). Got a confirmation email. Now to see how long it takes to ship.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Map Update

I just ordered mine too and was also charged for the shipping. I am not going to worry about the shipping charge but I would like my $14 dollars sales tax back.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Map Update

I just ordered the update, no problems.

I'm one of the people who have been asking for this. I drive across the border to New Brunswick, Canada a few times a year and the roads have changed. Plus, I tend to use the POI look-up and there are local stores, restaurants, etc. that are new or have changed.

I do have a standalone Garmin. I largely use it in rental cars when I go on vacation. I agree that the standalone includes lifetime maps and is cheaper than the Uconnect map update. I bought a refurbished 2597LMT about a year ago for $110. Lifetime maps means that I always keep it up to date.

I prefer the Uconnect because:
- I dislike having wires hanging from my dash for the standalone
- I like having the map on the larger Uconnect screen and the turn map on the EVIC
- I like that the Uconnect integrates into the audio system, lowering the music volume when giving directions, etc.

I'm hoping that this is the last map update that I will need. Hopefully iDatalink will come out with a module that will allow for replacement of the Uconnect. Then I'll buy a head unit with lifetime maps and upgrade the audio...

Greetings,

Lets start an attack on ADS to get them solve the problem.

I still did not heard from 12VGuy yet, so maybe no news is good news.

Best for now.
