I'm a little disappointed they didn't re-imagine the door panels for 2014 to improve imaging. Putting midrange speakers where your water bottles go is a cop out IMO.
I guess that's where we differ. The TBSS doesn't have boomy bass that impresses the old lady driving 5 carlinks behind you, but it is tight and defined. I found the HK to be a bit floppy. I'm headed back to the dealership to mess with it today on another srt8. I think the one I was in must have been mislabel as HK when it was actually the standard audio system. It was really bad.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee upgraded Audio Systems?

That's what most people complain about with the stock Alpine system - not enough bass. Personally, after dialing it in with the correct EQ adjustments, I think the stock Alpine system sounds fine. No, it's not the greatest system ever. No, it doesn't have the deepest bass. No, it doesn't rattle nearby cars. But, none of that mattered to me, an it sounds pretty damn good.

I'll admit, it took me a few days of daily driving to get my Jeep dialed In the way I liked it. The speed sensitive volume/EQ makes it sort of difficult to get everything dialed in just right IMO.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee upgraded Audio Systems?

I am currently buying audio components for my WK2 with the Alpine system. This is what I am going with:
-Focal IS 165 Components (front Door)
-Focal IC 165 2 way (rear door)
-Alpine SPR 10TW (rear surround)
-Audiocontrol LC7i
-Alpine PDX v9 amp
-JL Audio stealthbox

I believe this is a good setup from reading other ppl who have used the same pieces. Wiring is going to be a bastard though, but in the end should sound awesome.
