2014 Ra4 software version and issues

Been browsing through and have not found really anything regarding people's software version on their 2014 Ra4 radio and if they've experienced any sort of bugs/glitches/etc.

My software version is 13.05.3 and below is a small list of bugs I've noticed:

- Upon starting and putting into reverse, the grid lines didn't appear
- Clock froze and stopped working. Everything else on display was fine
- Radio appeared to "reboot" once. Screen blanked and recycled. Radio never stopped working.
- 1 time all the controls on the right side of the steering wheel stopped working. Including the arrows that control the 7" dash screen. After letting it sit for a while, it all worked again.

Everything above only happened once.... so far as of 1700+ miles. I know there are bugs being worked out but in the mean time, i'm wondering if it's worth updating to 13.10.x or are there bugs in that version as well? Just wondering if I should wait til there is something a little more stable since my issues have only happened once and it isn't the end of the world. Any thoughts?

other than that, I love my overland. Traded a 2011 overland for my 2014 overland. Simply incredible. By the way, when in a phone call, when it ends, why does the screen stay and phone mode and not revery back to the screen it was on before the phone call like radio or nav?

You might have a grounding issue.

I checked the ground cable under the hood near the battery that someone mentioned in another thread and it is tight. From the sound of their post, much more wasn't working than what i've experienced.....

Mine was tight also. But after a bunch of warning lights came on and I lost my speedometer for a day, the stored codes pointed the dealer to that ground. They took it off and cleaned the area underneath. Except for a minor 4wd issue, everything seems to be OK.

Interesting... Ok I'll have the dealer check that out. How many miles/how long did you have it when that happened? Mine is over a month old and 1700+ miles on it and only those 4 things happened once all at different times..... Being in IT, It seemed more logical that it was a software bug.... Kinda reminded me of my old android phone... And i keep checking the "stored messages" section on the dash screen. Is that where you would see any stored error codes?

I think the codes that do get stored can only be accessed with a scanner.

Re: 2014 Ra4 software version and issues

I had a little over 1200 miles.

I'm not sure how to read the codes. I know somebody had posted something about turning the ignition on and off a few times but I wasn't really paying attention.
