So my Nav unit failed in my 2014 Summit. Took it in to the dealer and they couldn't get it working and told me they needed to replace the entire unit. It has been 2 weeks now and they can't tell me when a unit will arrive, if it is in transit or any ETA at all. They keep saying it isn't them and it is a Chrysler issue as they are looking for a new manufacturer of the units and none are available. This all sounds like BS to me and I am hoping the knowledgeable members of JG can help me with some guidance on what I can do to get this fixed.

Thanks

Thanks called them this morning and they are going to have the special tracking team try and find the part quicker. From what they told me they don't have enough to replace all of the units that need to be fixed for customers and are back ordered as you suspected. Guess building new to gain new customers is more important to them than keeping current customers. :(

seems the 2015 version is slightly different hardware then the 2014. (it has different software version and the 2014's software wont run on the 2015 radio's and vice-versa)

sounds like they didn't purchase enough 2014 parts to keep in stock before switching over to 2015's version.
