I don't keep playlists in iTunes, so not sure there. All of my album art came over though. It displays on the screen

Re: 2014 sd card capacity?

Please, someone stick a .wma file on a usb and see if it plays. All of my music is in that format, and I need to know if I'll be needing to change everything. In case you're wondering, .wma is windows media audio. It's the default for any number of programs and devices. It seams to work on almost any modern device that plays .mp3, but I'd really love to know for sure. Am I begging here? Excuse my groveling.

"To get started using Via Mobile Apps, first register your Uconnect® Access

That's great news for us Android users!

Almost all of my music is in mp3 format and I've used Media Monkey to tag all of them with album, cover art , artist, genere, and other info.

Re: 2014 sd card capacity?

What are the controls like? Searching by file name etc. Also is there just a random setting where it'll play randomly from all the songs on the card?

This card works fine. But I guess its normal that the songs are listed alphabetically?

Re: 2014 sd card capacity?

How does it list/display the songs saved on the SD card? I want to create separate folders for my wife, kids, and self and sort out the music that way. Will it recognize the different folders and allow you to play from them individually or does it just search the entire card and display all music available on it?

Yes, I have the same type of question - I would like to Sort by "Artist" and then from there maybe even by "CD" from that Artist.

I don't have iTunes so my Music is saved in Windows Folders with Sub-Folders inside each Folder for CD's from that Artist etc.

My Acura MDX plays DVD-Audio so I have a DVD burned with all my Music - so I select My Folder (my wife has her own) then go to Artist and then CD from that Artist where I can play all the songs from a CD or just one - and can even Shuffle for 1 Artist. (Come to think of it........that's also how my SanDisk MP3 player works)

If you click on "browse" you can view the folders on the SD card. Then once you select a folder it will play all songs in that folder in alphabetical order or you can select shuffle for random playback inside the folder.

Can you select random covering all the folders?

Yes, by default it plays music from all folders and you can select random. One problem I'm having with the sd card is getting voice recognition to work. You can say "play song xxxxxxxx" and it will recognize the command by showing your words in green at the bottom of the screen but it won't actually play the song. Has anyone else experienced this?
