Most of the problems with the factory unit is in order to enjoy any music and hear any clarity you have to turn it up between 18-24 before anything kicks in which is way too loud for conversation with others in the vehicle.

Re: 2014 speaker upgrade

Hi guys . Ive read all thereat twice and check some videos and installation pictures. I used to modify factory radio on audi q7 before. It was litte difrent there because i didn replace speakers and had to play around with M.O.S.T system( i can post you tobe video if anyone interested). I get rid of this stu...d car 1 year ago. Now i have 2014 overland with premium system , I love this car exept audio system, I think its are crap. My previous audi BOSE was a lot better and cleaner , the only problem it had its 6 inch factory sub, the problem was solved when i install 12 inch Rockford fostage in the box enclosure. Anyway the jeep system is muddy and bummy. For now planing to replace speakers only in the front doors and 3,5 inch in the dash. As if Im involving in to something like that what is the best speakers recommendation to do so. For now its front door+twitters and dash. next time rear doors , and finial when i put enough money all those crossovers, amps, subs . Many people saying to replace front 6x9 with 6,5 is that really necessary? And once again what is the best speakers and twitters recommendations. Thank you.

No need to go to a 6.5 round component however it just gives you a larger choice, that's all.

I only went for the Polk MM6501 (2.7ohm, 94dB) components because I don't intend to upgrade the amp.

So 4 Oms is fine and if I go with this speakers they only 80 rms compared to Polk wich is 125 rms is that will be enough for the existing amp. The think is if I change the speakers and it's will noticeable improvements I'm not going to change the amp then. Is that is a right choice to go with focal . What is the existing speakers rms power?

Got to be happy with that! Which Polk 3.5" did you end up using?

They sit pretty tight. There is some rough / waived plastic around new twitters . So when you push them there, they won't come out.
