Ok,

I will be at a Jeep Store Monday.... I will do some testing on Sync with a couple of phones.

It is very possible that this is an issue with the radio. I seem to hear that there are a great deal of updates in the pipe for the new UConnect systems.

Sorry I was unable to give you a more immediate fix

Smile Re: 2014 UConnect phone pairing issues?

As indicated elsewhere in this forum listing Uconnect has now posted the firmware download with instructions for the fix which works like a charm. A thanks out to them for finally coming through. Go to this link - Uconnect | Support | Jeep and choose System Update. You will need your VIN number. Have fun and good luck to all.

I have tested a windows phone. Android 4.1.2 and iPhone 4s with 6.1.3. I can grab and iPhone 5 later today as it has slightly different Bluetooth hardware.

UConnect Hardware version 13.05.3 on 8.4AN

All three phones synced all addresses that had phone numbers. Minimum count of 427 addresses all the way up to 768.

I would be interested to hear if other people are specifically having issues with the iPhone 5 AND also if the newer version of the system of uConnect is worse?

If you post please also mention if you activated your system as that seems to be much more buggy at least until a reset is done.

Still no love for me. I may try my friends iPhone 5 and see if that works.

Let me know if that works. That would mean there is definitely an issue with your actual address book. You may also try syncing your phone with another car as a test?...
Going to grab an iPhone 5 here in a minute.

Re: 2014 UConnect phone pairing issues?

So strange but I just decide to change some settings on my iphone and then disconnect and erase the bluetooth from both the car and the iphone itself. I went into settings on the iphone and changed the contacts to sort and list "last, first" as opposed to "first, last." I then went into the contacts on the iphone and went to "groups" and unclicked the "All Facebook" icon so that my facebook contact info would not show up under contacts. I then repaired the iphone to the car via bluetooth and waited for the phonebook to download. The result is that I am now getting more then the original A-M contacts and am now getting them throughout the alphabet. However they are listed in the phonebook "first, last" as opposed to the revised setting on the iPhone "last, first", some contacts arent there and some contacts that are not in my iphone are in the phonebook. So strange but makes me think it is a setting or something on the iphone that uconnect speaks specifically too. Is there a way to see in uconnect what the settings are for the phonebook? I haven't found this yet but it may solve the issue or at least inform me of how to setup my iphone. Thanks!

Re: 2014 UConnect phone pairing issues?

my friends phonebook worked. SHe has 295 and 292 showed so that is working in my book. Must be something with settings on my iphone which I am looking into now. That kind of makes me feel a bit better. Now just a few smaller issues and the remote start climate issue that a few others are talking about as well as we are good to go!

Yes, it won't pull contacts that don't have data it can use.... not to beat on Apple but I did think it was a phone issue. Better talk to the apple store.

Re: 2014 UConnect phone pairing issues?

My 2014 GC Laredo is having the issue with saving my phone. I have to re-pair it every time.

My phone is a Galaxy S3.

Also, I just checked the software upgrade site and entered the last 8 of my VIN and it says I am already upto date.

Any ideas?

Depends on your cell phone and carrier. Not all phones are 100% compatible. Uconnect compatability chart is 2 years out of date. The online compatibility wizard does not list all operating systems even for Apple EOS and only one old Samsung. It would be helpful if members could post what smart phones they have, the operating system with version, and if they have compatibility with all smart phone functions. So far Uconnect is falling way behind the Ford systems.

When I checked with Verizon last week about a new phone I noted both the 5 were using EOS 6.1.1 and the 4s ESO 6.0. The numbers are from memory so check for your self
