Re: 2014 UConnect phone pairing issues?

Is the bluetooth pairing reconnect problem a problem on the 8.4N uconnect systems too?

Ok so I just called my dealer, explained the issue, told them I talked to UConnect and told them all of your stories and they still would like me to bring it in next week for a tech to look at. I guess the more reports of the problem they have the quicker it will be fixed.

Good luck, maybe they will find a fix that my dealer couldn't !!

I can give you another data point since I use an iPhone4 with ATT, my wife is using a 3G. I don't have any bluetooth connection issues with either phone.

Re: 2014 UConnect phone pairing issues?

So I just heard back from the dealership...they want to replace the radio unit. They said they started a "star" case and replacing the radio (to which the bluetooth is attached) is what they said to do. Apparently this is like a national database and dealers call in from all over to report problems. The service advisor at my dealership is a good friend of mine so I know he is trying as hard as possible to make it right but I'm afraid the new one will just do the same thing, especially after hearing how cmontel727's dealership tested multilple 2014s on the lot and none of them worked. He said there were no "flashes" that said a software update was coming out I have Verizon also, don't know if I mentioned that, but then I remember another post someone put up that it shouldn't matter what carrier...so confused. Anyway, should I let them replace it? I am so frustrated, I've only had the car a little over 2 weeks. Can you return vehicles?!?!

I have no idea. Do you all have the 5-inch screen or 8.4?

Re: 2014 UConnect phone pairing issues?

I have the 5" screen. Neither my RAZR nor my wife's DroidX will stay on as an added device after the engine is shut off. I have to add them back in as new devices. I don't think replacing the radio is the answer. I'm hoping Chrysler will get to the bottom of this and identify exactly what the problem is and the fix (software update?). It is ridiculous to say the least.

Re: 2014 UConnect phone pairing issues?

I have a Motorola RAZR. It is running Android version 4.1.2. The Uconnect instructions on the http://chrysler.servigistics.com/que...=en&brand=jeep. link shows Android 4.1.1 and 4.0.4. Is the new Android version 4.1.2 the problem? My RAZR is dropped from uconnect on my 2014GC when the engine is shut off......I have to add it again as a new device every time I start the Jeep. My RAZR worked before in my 2012 Jeep GC. It still works fine in my Wife's VW Jetta and my F150.

Do you have the 5" screen as well? What are your operating systems? Do you have 6.0 or 6.1, or do you have 6.0.something or 6.1._? Mine is an iPhone5 but my operating system in 6.1.3 and the UConnect people said the .3 at the end could be the problem since only 6.0 and 6.1 are listed as compatible. I thought that would be weird but just wondering what you had to see if that really could be the problem.

Hmmm that might be the problem. That is exactly what is happening to me and only 6.0 and 6.1 operating systems are listed for the iPhone but I have 6.1.3. Is your wife's DroidX operating system listed as compatible?

Re: 2014 UConnect phone pairing issues?

Same problem...have to reconnect every time I get back in the car...took in to dealership and they had not seen the problem, but they contacted HQ and were told aware of the problem and working on it...really big blunder on 2014 rollout.
