Re: 2014 UConnect phone pairing issues?

Hi, first time poster here.

For the people that have had it updated at the dealership, is it possible to get a TSB#, a software update number, or anything else? Maybe there's something printed on your work ticket?

I'm headed into my dealership at 800am tomorrow, and if they say they don't know anything about it, I want to be able to provide some sort of information so I'm sure it can get done.

Thanks in advance.

If you get a chance could you post the version number of the software update as it appears on your screen? Thanks.

Re: 2014 UConnect phone pairing issues?

I just purchased a 2014 Grand Cherokee 10 days ago and I am having the pairing issues as well. I can pair the phone but if I turn off the engine the phone is no longer paired.
I called Uconnect and first they said my phone was not compatible. I purchased a new "compatible" phone and it does the same thing. Uconnect then sent me back to my dealer.
The dealer is telling me they have never heard of this before and there is no "fix" for it. There will be one but they don't know when.
Does anyone have any advice on how to get the dealer to fix it?

Everyone: I have the file here. All you have to do is put the file directly onto a Flash drive (make sure it is the only file on the drive and not in a folder)

DO NOT CHANGE THE FILE NAME.

Simply plug the flash drive into the USB slot and you will be prompted on the screen asking you "if you would like to update"

Select "Yes" Only took me 5 min! Pairing now works 100% fine

ENJOY

My version before the update was 13.04.2
It updates it to 13.12.1

Re: 2014 UConnect phone pairing issues?

First, thanks jesuswalks.

Second, an update: It's not working for me. I get the following "Okauthentication failed" error message

For either jesuswalks or anyone that got it to work, a couple of troubleshooting questions.

  1. The filename from the download is swdl.iso?
  2. It's 42,991,616 bytes (41.0MB)?
  3. How did you format your flash drive? I've tried NTFS, FAT, and FAT32, just to see if that might be the issue.
Hoping it's not one of those things where it works for only jesuswalks' Uconnect 5.0 head unit. If anyone else has success with the file, please let us know.

Thanks!

Re: 2014 UConnect phone pairing issues?

The file is a larger file than 41MB it is a 552.2 MB file. Try re-downloading the file because it seems that your download terminated early.

Re: 2014 UConnect phone pairing issues?

Uploaded it to the Uconnect this morning and it worked.

Thanks so much, jesuswalks. Saved me the headache of going to the dealership.
