2014 weather radar issue with pointer covering location

like to know if this is annoying some of you. For those of you who have the weather feature -- when bringing up the map with radar - the gigantic car or pointer icon covers the radar where you are - so you cannot tell if precip is near etc. I live in nj - and the pointer literally takes up 1/3 of the state!!!

Maybe willx knows if there is a way to shut down the pointer in weather - or if Jeep knows this is an issue. The icon should be replaced with a flag or just a small dot - nothe default nav icons of a car - arrow - etc...

ideas?

thanks!

Yeah, there has been some chatter about that in other threads.

As far as I can tell, the weather radar is pretty much just eye candy. For it to be useful it needs to be animated so you can see where the weather is going (I can generally tell what the weather is where I am by looking out the window, which I often do while I'm driving)

Just MHO..

yes I find teh radar useful when travelling and knowing whats coming.. The way they have radar implemented is basically useless.

i also think it needs to zoom MUCH farther in... 100 miles is actually 200 miles (since its 100 miles in each direction) thats... useless.
