Re: 430N and Sirius Travel Link

Thank You for posting the file. Everything installed fine but I am disappointed to say that it did not fix the Bluetooth streaming issues with my Windows Phone 7 or Android device

If you press the MENU button it should show Travel Link as an option.

No Travel Link as an option when pressing menu. That sucks for us Canadians.

Re: 430N and Sirius Travel Link

FYI, this is a RADIO update. Bluetooth and iPhone related issues are handled by uConnect which is not part of the 430N radio and thus not part of this update.

Also, bluetooth streaming is an iPhone issue, not a Jeep issue. Google iphone 4 bluetooth audio streaming and see what I mean. Don't expect anyone but Apple to correct this and don't expect to be able to use the iPhone as a dedicated music device in your car, just bite the bullet and buy an iPod Nano or upload the music to the HDD. The iPhone is a PHONE first and has always had issues being used as an accessory plug-in in the same way the iPod is used. Don't get me wrong, I love my iPhone like a child but just like children you must understand their limitations (just my opinion, YMMV)

Aside from the travel link fix they also improved the GPS interface adding some depth to the Nav icon and additional status bars on the map. Minor but noticeable, it's definitely an improvement.

Re: 430N and Sirius Travel Link

So strange, I am at my dealer now and they told me the update is not out and to call the 800 number. There still seems to be a big disconnect going on between Chrysler and the dealers. Let's see if I get the CD in the mail.

Just download the iso file from the links provided and burn it to CD...it works fine.

I am probably going to end up doing that, I just figured while I am at the dealer, why not try to have them do it. The only other thing is my Sirius account does not show an extended subscription.

Re: 430N and Sirius Travel Link

Downloaded the ISO file from the link provided, burned to CD and updated the radio just fine.

I'm also in the situation where Sirius Travel Link appears on my build sheet but not on my window sticker--be interesting to see how that question resolves.

Agreed the iPhone has its own set of issues with uConnect. The problem that I have with the other smartphones is that they use the standard A2DP audio profile nad neither either of my smartphones, one is Android work with BT streaming. It is very disappointing and I guess I am going to have to start looking at after market radio replacements that have better A2DP streaming.
