PMD, here's the body of the email I received. It was about as helpful as teats on a bull as far as my original question, but maybe it'll help others who need this info:

If your navigation system is a Navus system by Mopar, you may contact
your Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep® or Ram dealer to purchase map updates. It
is a 2gb CompactFlash drive data card and is not compatible with the

I had already seen the NAVTEQ link at the Jeep owners' page before getting this. It's pretty prominent on that page.
