430N Auto color Mode

Does the auto color mode work for anyone? You have the option of day colors, night colors and auto. And the ability to set the brightness on each. My radio does not switch automatically from day to night and vice verse. The brightness remains the same also. Does anyone know how to make this work? Does it work for anyone?

Try moving the dial by the gas tank door button down 1 notch. Sounds like you have it set on permanent day mode.

Re: 430N Auto color Mode

That is correct advise. Doing that will also allow you to turn on the passenger interior lights individually, which is locked out with the dial up all the way.

Re: 430N Auto color Mode

"Up all the way" is actually the second click, and it manually turns on the interior lights. One click down from that is what the manual calls "Parade mode" which is the position that keeps the instrument cluster backlights and media center display at their "daytime" setting all of the time. I have had my control in Parade mode and the rear passenger interior lights were still able to be turned on and off while I was driving.
