430N disappointment

Well I just updated my 430N and now have travel link. I then looked for real time travel data. No go, it's not available on the 430N. I guess I will drag out my old Garmin and use it in the Jeep when needed.

Re: 430N disappointment

Sirius traffic is a different product than the Sirius travel link. I don't believe that the 430N has ever had the Sirius traffic feature.

For myself, I liked the 430N better than the 730N (rer) I have in my vehicle. (especially the speedo display)

Re: 430N disappointment

You are confusing Travel link with sirius traffic. Two different features. I would of liked to have live traffic updates as well!

I had the traffic feature in my JK but discontinued The service because the lag in traffic reportimg/updates made it useless in my area. Plus at the time, Sirus had the traffic tied to their Sat services...you could only get traffic by having the regular Sirius service which I never used. Mthe lag and cost wasn't worth it so I discontinued the service haven't looked back. My iPhone provided much better traffic updates back then...not sure if it has improved since last year.

Check this thread out. I believe that there is an update that enables the travel link.
