Re: 430N garmin nav colors

Interesting. My dealer called me back and said it should have the colors and not the screen I am seeing.

So how many people have my garmin buttons?

Re: 430N garmin nav colors

Well it's official. Called 2 dealers and they checked all the jeeps on the lot and all of the 2012s had the ugly garmin interface like mine. So its a feature for 2012.

Re: 430N garmin nav colors

if you have this new software and Travel Link are you also able to display weather RADAR MAPS on the FORECAST screen? The 730RHR is able to with a software update. Is the 430N also able to do this with what appears to be the latest software update?

Re: 430N garmin nav colors

CFUSION/Jeeters, could one of you post a picture or two of what the map looks like? It definitely looks like a new version of the software, and I'm wondering what else has changed besides these menu icons, e.g. different map graphics/resolution, additional functionality, etc.

Next question is whether or not this is going to be a new software release that existing radios can upgrade to. I can't say I dislike the new graphics, and if the maps are any better, or there is additional functionality I'd definitely upgrade.

I'm not near my Jeep at the moment or I'd post all the version numbers for my RHB. Perhaps someone with the "original" menus could post their info?

Re: 430N garmin nav colors

Can anyone with the new colors/displays see if travel link/forecast displays weather radar on the screen?

I checked last night (somebody asked a few posts back which made me curious). I couldn't find any radar map. The forcast just lets me see forcast for the day / current conditions, or I can see a 3 day forcast. I couldn't find any radar image.

This is from my 2011 Overland. I updated the software last summer with the CD ISO I found here.
