430N: head unit USB cover won't snap in?

I have opened and closed the USB port cover in the head unit half a dozen times. Now it no longer snaps in securely. It hangs a little loose despite my best efforts.

Any ideas? If not, I'm going to cut the strap and remove the cover altogether. The exposed USB port next to the analog AUX port will look better than a cover that's ajar.

superglue???

I know mine is hard to get back on but I have only used it once or twice to copy songs. Now I know not to use a lot or it will break.

Pricey but there is a replacement part available for about $23. Maybe they will cover it under warranty.

The loose USB port cover was the only issue I've had with my Jeep. Dealer replaced the whole radio.
