Dont quote me on this, but I believe the 430 does not have bluetooth music streaming. Both the 430N and the 730N are supposed to support the iPhone 4. I have an iPhone 4. I am currently running OS 4.3.3. I have not had any conectivity or bluetooth issues. Bluetooth calling works great. Bluetooth music streaming is acceptable, although I hardly ever use it. i mostly use the USB in the center console armrest compartment. the only other issue that bothers a lot of folks is the fact that the 430 and 730 are supposed to have hands free texting, however Apple has not implemented MAP (messsage access profile), which allows you to do this. It's an Apple thing, not a Jeep thing....
THANK YOU!! so i just checked, both the limiteds im looking at have the 430N (im quite positive). I dont need bluetooth streaming for music, or voice testing etc etc.
All i care about is the bluetooth call / and call quality with iphone 4. I assume if that works in the 730N, than it will work in the 430N as well.
Reading threads ive seen these solutions from folks that were having issues with either 430 or 730.
1) Update mygig to latest version
2) loose usb connection in center armrest
I plan on testing this now at the dealer before i pull the trigger. It didnt even occur to me that iphone + bluetooth is a potential issue in some of these units.
