Re: 5 Years of Free SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link on 2015 Jeeps

If Chrysler really wants to enhance their customers UConnect experience just, as an example, allow all the functions the Garmin nav systems are capable of, not the scaled back systems we are given, and pay dearly for.

5 Years of Free SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link on 2015 Jeeps

I have noticed I have traffic again even though it expired. I can't say it's much use though. I have been at a dead stop many times with the traffic showing green on the Nav. Seems too slow to react to the rush hour surge.

Did you not read that 2014 models made after July 1st get 5 years free as well?

Will this also be included in Nav-ready vehicles?

My altitude will be here monday. However it does have the upgraded premium 9 speaker sound. But not Nav, I plan to have it flashed for nav prior to pick up.

I don't think NAV ready vehicles can get Sirius traffic

They will turn it on for about two weeks every couple of months and usually follow that up with an offer to renew in the mail.

According to Jeep Unconect you also don't get HD Radio and 3D Nav.

I have the 8.4AN with AM/FM/HD radio plus SiriusXM, Sirius Traffic/Weather and Sirius Travel Link. I've only renewed the SiriusXM since the free 1 year trial expired.

My Nav is 3D. I can turn this on/off, display a normal looking map or use a satellite overlay. I haven't played around with this much as I've only used it a couple of times just to make sure it all works.

So I guess you'd have to take what you read with a grain of salt.

If you have an 8.4AN didn't your car come with NAV? I'm talking about when you add NAV to a NAV ready 8.4A.
