730 Nav - Updates?

I used the NAV the other day and drove over a crossing that was opend over a year ago. The NAV thinks I am driving off road on a trail and wants me to change my route. IS there a way to get this updated without paying since the road was there before the WK2 was even released?

Re: 730 Nav - Updates?

No there is not. Just because a road was there before your Jeep was made doesnt mean your entitled to a free upgrade. Roads in this country are changing on a daily basis and sometimes it can take a while for that particular road to show up in updated software.

Re: 730 Nav - Updates?

Yeah, you're hosed. There's several roads around here that had changed before my GC rolled off the line. Doesn't matter.

I don't know if there's a new mapset out yet, but when it does come out, I'm sure it will be way more expensive than it should be. Built in nav has some nice capabilities, but the upgrades are about 400% more expensive than those for standalone units.
