730 RHR Only steaming Audio and Phone

Has anybody figured out how to get phone base navigation audio to stream over to the 730 RHR?

I'll explain, my touch screen on the 730 RHR isn't working (other thread on that) so I needed to use Google Navigation on my mobile phone. The audio prompts would only come out via the mobile phone speaker even though the phone was connected to the 730 via bluetooth. During the trip I took a inbound call and then all of a sudden the audio voice prompts from the mobile phone navigation started working over the GC bluetooth and worked just like a phone call or streaming music. When the phone call ended, no more navigation propmpts over BT on the 730.

Anybody figure out a work around or some setting that needs to change?

There are two different bluetooth connections: one for phone audio and one for music. Try getting the music one to work. (I don't have an RHR so can't provide details.)

Both streaming music and phone audio work fine over the BT. When straming music, the phone comes up as a available device in the Aux. but when using the navigation on the phone, the aux never shows the phone like when streaming music.

Re: 730 RHR Only steaming Audio and Phone

Can you hear the Nav prompts via a bluetooth earpiece/headset (A2DP capable)? Can you hear other operational sounds from the phone (IE: ringing, beeps, etc) over your bluetooth connection/headset? If not, is there a function in the phone to send all sounds to a bluetooth device?

Potential "dirty" fix...

Turn on a streaming audio source. Mute/turn-down the audio in that app only (not the master volume). Select your phone as the AUX Device. Try the Nav app.
