I paid the fee and he made the swap, now 2 weeks later the dealers call and says there is a problem that the 730 RER has to come out and the 430 has to go bac, and that you can not change out the Radios as it will Void the Warrenty and will mess up the computer
I find this very hard to bellieve as he had and Overland in the showroom with an 730 RER and a limted with and RER in them
Now the dealr wants the car back right away to make the change back
My gut feeling is the dealer is trying to sell another Overland that has a 430N in and his customer wants the 730 RER
I can't believe that you can not replace the 430N with a 730 RER
Thanks for your help
Let me explain. The 430N comes with a USB/Ipod port in the armrest storage area, and the 730N doesn't.
Now that your old 430N is in a Jeep that had a 730N (and no USB in the armrest), there's no way for the 430N to be connected to an IPOD, and the dealer probobly just realized this.
There are no computer or warranty issues (all mopar accessories, including GPS units, are covered, even when installed after purchase). He's lying to you.
F**k them. They'll have to order a replacement 730N for the limited (they are still available to order seperately. If they had been honest, I might work with them, but after trying this BS, no way, keep the 730N, it has terrific navigation.
