Re: 730N (RER) vs 430N (RHB) vs 730N (RHR)

Does anyone know when ordering will open up on the RHR?

I am waiting for that to happen before I place my order.

I have missed my Jeep ever since I traded my 2002 Limited in on an Acura.

Just got my Overland with the 730N RER last week. Guess I should have waited. DOH!!! (telling myself not to have buyer's remorse)

Ordered my Overland last week and the 430N was the only choice. Hoping that an upgrade to the new 730N will be possible and not too expensive...any input?

It'll be about $2700...that's expensive to me. In other words, there is no real upgrade, you have to buy it from parts at retail or from the web.

For those that haven't been to the updated link, Milous has updated the features for the upcoming 730 (RHR).

Re: 730N (RER) vs 430N (RHB) vs 730N (RHR)

I made a special call to my salesperson before my order was placed making sure I was getting the 730N. He confirmed that I was and my order was placed. His quote was "The Overland comes standard with the 730N". He does not deny telling me that.

I then found this site and realized he had to be wrong. I called to find out what I was really getting and of course it is the 430N. I told him I was disappointed and that I would have waited because I want the Sirius Traffic. I asked if they will switch it out later when it is available. No word back, but I'm sure they will not. I hate that I had him double check and it was still wrong.

I don't hate my dealer or Jeep over this radio disaster, but I do love this site and WK2Jeeps.com for providing my answers.

I hope Sirius Traffic sucks and I don't feel the need to drop another $3k to get it.

Re: 730N (RER) vs 430N (RHB) vs 730N (RHR)

I for one don't really care about the serious traffic. It was very expensive and was not worth it for me. The lag between traffic and when it showed up on my RER made it useless for daily commuting. It was however useful for traveling a long distance but the cost/benefit ratio just wasn't worth it for me...mainly because Sirius would not just give me traffic, it had to be both Sirius radio and traffic. I rarely use Sirius radio so in my mind I paid a premium for marginal service. Google was faster for me despite not showing specific events.
