As an interrim the 730N (RER) was an available option for the Overlands for a while. To make it even more confusing Jeep threw in some 730N's (RER) on some Overlands built in December without charging the customer the additional $305 for the 730N. Now the 730N (RHR) is a $465 option on non-Summit Overlands.

At least that's what I've been able to glean from all the posts on the forums.

It's all clear as mud.............

We've moved through a few stages, and yes, it was a bit confusing.

Stage 1 (beginning of production through early July): Overlands had the 730N RER standard.

Stage 2 (early July though some time early fall): The 430N RHB was made the standard unit on the Overland (with a $305 credit) for some reason. Rumor has it that the RHB's nav looked better than the RER for prospective buyers, but that may not be correct. The 730N RER was still available for order.

Stage 3 (early fall through a week ago): The 430N RHB was the only nav system available to be ordered, the 730N RER having been phased out. During this time, some vehicles ordered with the "stock" nav system (which should have been the 430N RHB) showed up with the 730N RER. Nobody knows why.

Stage 4 (a week ago through now): The 730N RHR is now available for order and is standard on the Summit, but the 430N RHB is still the standard unit on the Overland, still with the $305 credit.

A while back, Milous said the intention was to make the 730N RHR the standard unit once it came out. I don't know if this is still the eventual intention.

Just to be clear from the point when I started looking at them, sometime in September, the invoices and stickers never showed a $305 credit, the initial MSRP was reduced by $305 to $41,910. The 730N (RER) was available as a $305 option.

The same thing happened when the first batch of 4X4 Overlands were built and shipped without the air suspension, the base MSRP was reduced, there was no credit called out on the window sticker.

Re: 730N (RER) vs 430N (RHB) vs 730N (RHR)

Hi All, just to add to the discussion & confirm the 730N RHR as an Overland Option. I too postponed my October Overland order until the 730N RHR was in production (Est 1/17/11). I contacted my Dealership today and they informed me the running order had a 430N; which I stated was not desired. They were re-ordering today with 730N RHR and informed me that the 430N was now Standard in Overland & 730N RHR was a $460 option. Doesn't stop the order or excitement; just frustrating! I considered the Overland Sumit Trim package (730N standard) but I didn't want the saddle interior color. Another frustration; I wanted a price on the Alum 20" Optional wheels listed in the brochure and could not find any information or price. Recently noticed this optional 20" Alum wheel is the standard wheel on the 2011 Durango Crew Lux trim package. Go Figure!

My Opps... Appears the Overland Sumit also has the 430N as Standard equipment too!

Pease do not base your information off of what you see at Jeep.com "build your own". If you are you will be pleasantly surprised when you go to order your Jeep at the delaership. That the site is pretty much useless as far as detailed ordering and information is concerned. As of right now 730N RHR is standard in the Summit and optional in the standard Overland. If you do not order 730N in your standard Overland it will be delivered with a 430N.

Hope this helps.

James

Re: 730N (RER) vs 430N (RHB) vs 730N (RHR)

We have no radio option in Canada on the Overland... And there is no Summit offer, so the are 4 options on the Overland: Acc, off road w 18" wheels, back DVD tv, 20" chrome wheels... And you can get everything from saddle int. to black int. In every color....maybe it's why we could get the 730 RhR...
M'y price tag is 50 000$ CAN...

Re: 730N (RER) vs 430N (RHB) vs 730N (RHR)

My dealer told me this morning that the summit is the 430 std and the 730 is not even offered.

Such incredible confusion at Chrysler when it comes to these things.

I ordered an overland on 1/10 with a 430 in it (before I looked on Jeepgarage!! damn it) and knew there was a difference. I also ordered the saddle.

I discovered the 730 vs 430 and asked to change my order, however he said it just got the VIN, so I need to accept the order or order a new one. When we went to order a new one he said that only the Summit from now on will have the Saddle interior they will no longer offer it on the limited, overlands etc (CAN ANYONE CONFIRM THAT?) So in the course of 10 day my whole order/plan was obliterated....

Re: 730N (RER) vs 430N (RHB) vs 730N (RHR)

The saddle interior isn't completely gone for other models, it's just in such demand that for the moment only the Summits are getting it. It is on "restriction" for the time being.
