I purchased a device on Amazon a couple of years back that acts as either a Bluetooth xmitter or receiver, depending on a switch setting. It is stereo and class "A" (better range). I use it at home, but I have tried it in a car. It does require 5vdc, so you would have to get your power from a USB port or get some type of adapter. I believe it is built by Motorola, but I will have to check.
The audio either comes in or goes out via a 1/8" headphone jack.
