I will report back later this week as I will be using the nav all week.

Oh and this dealer really irks me. When they changed out the nav unit they obviously used excess, unneccesary force as they put indentations in the leather dash and there are two areas where the leather looks as though it has creased. I'm very sure these were not there before. It just gets my blood going. They also have damaged the skid plate trim with chrome accent on top of the rear bumper when they were looking for the remote antenna. They are going to hear about it and can be certain I am never going back to that dealership. I have plenty of other dealers in my area to try out.

Re: 730N RHR Deletes Addresses

Update on new Nav installed about a week and a half ago: I spoke to soon and jinxed myself. The 9 addresses I saved and my home address vanished. Held for a few days then gone. I'm so PO'd right now because of this because the dealer used unneccesary excessive force to remove the trim and put marks in the leather dash. And, I really need this Nav to save addresses for my work. I need to save several hundred or more addresses, if it will hold that many, so I don't have to constantly re-enter them. I seriously would not have purchased this Jeep had I known. Call me a whiner. All the issues really makes me nervous after the warranty expires.

Re: 730N RHR Deletes Addresses

After two months of holding the home address and address book entries the NAV lost them all again. I went out of state for the weekend and used the system several times. I believe that is what triggered the memory loss. The radio presets were not erased.

Until a patch comes along here is a tip to restore your home address quickly: Press "Guide me home". If the "You don't have a home address programmed" message pops up, press "yes" when it asks if you want to enter one. Then go to "recent destinations". Your home address is probably listed there. Just tap on it and press "save". It beats having to enter the whole address, city and house # each time.

Re: 730N RHR Deletes Addresses

77cherokee, thanks for the handy tip. Got my Ovlnd one week ago, and home address lasted only 6 days. Haven't had the Jeep long enough to set any radio presets yet. iPod working great though.

BTW, I've only used one fobik and haven't paired any phones yet.

Re: 730N RHR Deletes Addresses

I just got my Overland that was made mid November and it has the exact same problem with loosing home address and entries in the address book. The good thing is I had read these post and expected it before taking delivery of my special order. Thanks to all of you. So ... is reasonable to expect a software patch? I think I see some similar complaints on other Chrysler and Dodge products.

It's more than reasonable...it's a necessity. Those of us who are experiencing this problem should make sure we call Chrysler CS and let them know about it. If enough people call perhaps they won't tell us they never heard of this problem.

Also, make your dealer's service manager aware of it.

Re: 730N RHR Deletes Addresses

No problems with the home address...I haven't entered it :-) But I am frustrated with the inability to call contacts using a simple command such as "Call Jane Doe Home". The system forces me through a series of prompts to finally make the call.

Hmm. I am able to say "Call Jane Doe Home" and the system says "Calling Jane Doe home, is this correct?" I then say yes or no and the call goes through. Yours not working that way?

Re: 730N RHR Deletes Addresses

From what I've read and experienced it appears to me the code has a flaw were instead of deleting old recent address either by quanity or time it is errasing the address book. It doesn't appear to be a memomory problem as my pictures and CD are holding. Just a thought. JT
