Re: 730N RHR Deletes Addresses

I just spoke with customer service, twice. The first gal was absolutely awful. She knew nothing and just referred me to the dealership. Then she asked me if there was anything else she could help me with. Now THAT, took some bigs ones! Second call blessed me with a young man named Rob. Wonderful representative for Jeep. Took down my complaint and said someone would call me within 24 hours on the issue of the 730.

Now, this not being my first rodeo I know what that is worth. However, at least it will be reported and it proves there are some reps with their head attached and willing to do their jobs. Hopefully a fix is just around the corner.

Re: 730N RHR Deletes Addresses

Some of the CS reps have no mechanical knowledge and cannot respond to your complaint in a meaningful way. They are trained to write down what you say and forward it to someone else. They are scripted and always end the conversation with the customary "Anything else" phrase. Now and then you will get someone who does have a modicum of mechanical understanding and can actually relate to your problem. Those are the good conversations.

I have found that when they say they are forwarding your problem to a more knowledgeable person, you will usually get a call back from that person.

Re: 730N RHR Deletes Addresses

Lost my home address and address book again yesterday. Now I can say it has nothing to do with using it out of your default state.

Re: 730N RHR Deletes Addresses

I have a 2011 Overland, and have lost my address book several times. I have been to the dealer about it 3 or4 times, and so far nothing. Originally they ordered me a new radio, but they were told by Jeep that this is a known issue, and the replacement would have to wait until there was a fix.

I called Jeep CS, and I got the "this is the first I have herd if this issue". Then they told me I had to work through my dealer. Many conversations later, they are "looking into it", and will get back to me in a couple of days...

Re: 730N RHR Deletes Addresses

I mentioned this problem to the Asst. Service Mngr. at my dealership yesterday. As expected, she hadn't heard about this before. She said she will call me if there is an update.

Re: 730N RHR Deletes Addresses

I have had mine 2011 GC to the dealer 3 times on this. The last time in the replace the unit and as of today, I have lost all my addresses and home address again. I really hope that Jeep comes up with a fix soon.

Re: 730N RHR Deletes Addresses

Ten months of these problems, and not so much as evidence that a fix is being worked on? A well-publicized lawsuit would probably have the issue resolved within weeks.
