Re: 730N RHR Deletes Addresses

I was at the dealer today for an oil change. I asked about the software update and the problem of deleted addresses. After several minutes of no response, I was told they knew nothing about the problem or the update. If someone knows of the technical bulletin that would be helpful. I guess my next step is to start talking to the dealer management.

Re: 730N RHR Deletes Addresses

There is no tsb to the best of my knowledge. If you are having the deleted address problem and they offer no remedy, insist on the software update. It is their obligation to get the cd and install it since you a re having a problem.

Re: 730N RHR Deletes Addresses

For some unknown reason, the address problem has not occurred this week so I have not pushed the dealer. I did submit the problem to customer assistance and received this response:
Mr. ___
Thank you for contacting the Jeep Customer Assistance Center. I'm sorry for the trouble you are experiencing with your navigation system Jeep is currently working on a fix for the issue I would advise you to continue to check in with your local dealer and also your check in on our website for any updates.
Thanks again for your email.
Sincerely,
Kyle

Re: 730N RHR Deletes Addresses

I have had my GC for over a year and never experienced the lost preset problem, until two weeks ago when my wifes car went down and she started driving the Jeep.
The problem definately has to do with the 1/2 switch. Sometimes when I get in the car and push the 1n switch the presets are gone, I have found that if I push the 2 switch
allow the seat to move and then push the 1 switch the presets return.

Re: 730N RHR Deletes Addresses

I sent an email to the customer assistance center and asked if the update 2.12 could be installed.
This is the response I received:

Dear Mr. __
Thank you for contacting the Jeep Customer Assistance Center. I don't believe that the update you found will correct the problem, however if you would like to try it you are more then welcome to go to your dealer and ask them their opinion on the update and possibly have them perform the update. But as I stated prior I don't believe that this specific update will correct your problem. Thanks again for your email.
Sincerely,
Kyle

I was at the dealer today and brought up the deleting addresses problem. They told me there is no fix for this problem at this time. Looking at the posts this problem is at least a year old with no corrective action.

Re: 730N RHR Deletes Addresses

I installed 2.120 update two months ago and have not lost Home Address or any other addresses. Before the update, I would loose them about once a week.

Re: 730N RHR Deletes Addresses

Thanks! This is the first response I have seen that confirms this will fix the problem. Now I have to get the dealer to perform the update, since they insist this will not fix the problem.

v2.120 does usually fix this, but not always. If no joy, try the forthcoming claimed TSB for the satellite presets problem (see separate thread).
