Just purchased 2011 liberty with 730 rhr media center. It too doesn't reconize usb port. Tried everything suggested in this post. The icon for the usb port is grayed out just like many icons on programs I use on my home computer. I hate to have to go back to dealer. Can't believe I will have to deal with computer problems on a vehicle just like at work and home. What a world! Is there a driver down load or something I'm missing?
you are the man! Everything having to do with computers is a wonderment to me. I have to admit your post was the one thing I did not try as I didn't think I had any mp3 files. Well I downloaded one my wifes bon jovi tunes from her itune file (.mp4) to the flash drive. Put flash drive into media center usb port and bang everything worked and was able to load pictures. Thanks again. I don't have to return to dealer and look like a jerk, I just look like a jerk on this forum but no one can see me.
Just bought a 2011 GC Overland with the 730N rI am having the same problem.hr media center. Want to upload some pictures via a usb thumb drive, but the it will not recognize that a usb is even plugged in.
I have checked and rechecked everything. The pictures are in JPEG format, they are 240 by 158 per the owner’s manual. I have also tried three other brands of flash drive and still nothing.
I have also called Jeep and they have no clue what the issue may be. Next stop is dealership, but has anyone else experienced this issue?
I am having the same problem. Actually it did recognize USB drive the first time when I downloaded music, but now does not recognize that USB drive or any others.
