Question 8.4AN Radio related to Blue Tooth

Hello all, as you can see, I'm new here. I work in a dealership that sells the Jeep product and am trying to assist a customer find an answer that no one here seems to know. When ending a hands free call the screen on the 8.4 remains on the phone screen with the redial button. Is this normal or is there a correction for this. Thank you in advance for any advice. Billh

This is a normal condition. When switching any app such as using voice to change the channel "tune XM channel 9" on the radio that app stays on the screen as it was the last app used.

The only exception to this is "controls" which is more like a pop up window that will disappear after a minute or you can click the X.

We are here to help.

Yes, and it's annoying, isn't it. Who wants to stare at the blank phone screen. I like how the Seat controls window automatically closes. The Phone should work the same way. It should be a "Pop Up Screen" that automatically dismisses.

Only issue with this thinking is that if you drop the call, you want that screen to be up there to press the redial or go straight to recent calls. I use my phone a lot (most of the time I am in the car) and while I can certainly see this can be annoying, I don't need to keep going back to the "controls" menu the way I do when I am working with the phone.

Although it doesn't exit the screen, any playing music whether through the phone or the radio will continue. Not sure why the screen staying would be annoying. Just tap the radio or NAV button to jump out of it.
