8.4N Switching channels

Anybody having an issue with the station changing one up or one down on its own randomly?

It is a 2104 with a little under 38k miles. Been great until about 3-4k miles ago. Now while driving, the channel will just change one down. It is random in that it does not matter which channel has been set or what the car is doing at the time.

Software is 14.25.5

You have a 2104! Wow!

Sarcasm aside, my 2014 had problems after the first firmware update in which it would suddenly switch from FM to Sirius periodically. I haven't had that issue after the next firmware release though and it's been about 18 months of working properly now. Hope this isn't something coming back.

Do you have an SD card in ? When I took my SD card out, mine stopped changing stations on its own.

I had an SD card in when it was switching to Sirius and I have an SD card in it now when it is working perfectly.

Has anyone noticed if this happens mainly when the vehicle has been cooking at 90+ temps, before the A/C can cool it down.

No USB, no SD inserted, just listening to one station and it will change--always to the next lower station.

As soon as the interior gets decently cool, it quits doing this.

When it happened on mine, it was usually while it was driving on the expressway.

Re: 8.4N Switching channels

my randomly decides that the #8 preset should be the same as the #6 preset... so it switches it. Then a few starts later... it decides it doesnt like that so it changes it back. lol
