Re: Aftermarket Head Unit Suggestions

Subbie, do you have an iPhone paired to your head unit?

If so, have you tried to use the Garmin Smartphone Link app? After doing some reading, it seems like this app will only work on the DNX890 with an Android. For iOS, it seems like the app will only work with standalone Nuvis released in 2013.

Wondering if any of the recent software updates changed this...

Re: Aftermarket Head Unit Suggestions

Kenwood releases new firmware for their headunits pretty regularly.

Re: Aftermarket Head Unit Suggestions

You know, I'm really hating the in-dash nav on my Alpine INE-S920HD. It's not the headunit's fault though, it's because it's placement is in the dash and I have to take my eyes off the road to look at the screen. So no matter which in-dash GPS headunit I'd use, I'd still have to look down at the screen.

So I stuck my trusty tomtom GPS on the windshield right next to the A pillar.
