Aftermarket /stock subwoofer Question.

So i have a Base Laredo X, It did not come with a Subwoofer installed. I had updated the stock headset to aftermarket pioneer touch screen when i first got the truck.

So today i got around to installing a Subwoofer, The stealth box was out of my price range so i found a used sub box from another grand Cherokee. I dynomated the whole thing and installed it with a kicker 8in sub, and installed a kicker amp. It sounds Great and cost me under 250.00$.

I had to removed the stock storage bucket on the drivers side and drill out the plastic rivets to install the sub. On a vehicle with a stock sub their would be plastic shroud with the speaker cover . Not having this left a large gap around the newly installed sub. So my plan was to fiberglass and bondo around the opening to make it look complete.

Before i go through all that work, does anyone know if you can just order the replacement speaker screen insert part? when i tried to look online all i could find was the whole passenger side of the trucks lower molding and it was very expensive. So i anyone knows if you can just buy the part let me know or if you have the part number it would be very helpful .
Thanks in advance Daniel

Re: Aftermarket /stock subwoofer Question.

Your only bet would be to find someone with a JL stealth box installed already that removed their stock sub grille insert... that's if they started with a factory sub.

Were you ever able to find that panel? I'm planning on installing a sub and I'm gonna be in the same boat. Thanks for any help
