Question for you Todd, I've only been monkeying with MP3Tag today. The last time I touched that software was more than 5 years ago. Is there a view in there that shows the album art for each track? The way I was doing it I had to click onto each track to see it's art in the info pane, which kinda sucked.
I've searched both the forums and Google for updates for the 430N/RHB radio Gracenotes software... Nothing.
All sorts of 'love' for the 730N, but not the 430N.
In MP3Tag you can choose the columns you wish to view and one of them is 'album art'. It will tell you how many images are saved into the file, I've seen some MP3 files have multiple images.
I generally sort by the album column so that all the songs from an album are together, then highlight all the songs from the album and edit the common info at once (artist, year, album artists, cover art, and so on). If you are viewing all songs from one album AND if they all have the same image then you will see the image displayed on the left side.
Another big tip...
Right click on a song (or group of songs) and choose 'Extended Tags'. There's more metadata in there that you may wish to edit (or delete).
I also use another program called MPGain to equalize the volume of my MP3 files. You will still notice that songs from the 70s and 80s aren't as 'loud' as songs from the 90s and up. They have been steadily increasing the 'loudness' of songs since the 90s. I'm not a musician or music nut so I can't really explain the concept.
